My love for Yorkshire Terriers began in 1993 when my husband surprised me with a wonderful gift. Hidden beneath his jacket was a tiny black bundle with a wiggly tail and an irresistible personality named Nicky. From the moment he peeked out to greet me, he stole my heart.
As time passed, I realized Nicky needed some companions, so we welcomed two little Yorkie girls into our family. Soon our home was filled with the energy, love and laughter that only Yorkshire Terriers can bring.
The day Nicky sired his first litter began a new chapter for me—raising healthy, well-socialized Yorkie puppies and helping families discover the joy of owning this wonderful breed. That was the beginning of my journey as a small hobby breeder.
My puppies are raised in my home, where they receive daily love, attention, and socialization from both people and our adult Yorkies. One of my favorite parts of raising puppies is watching the mothers—and sometimes the other adult dogs—interact with and teach the babies as they grow.
Over the years, I've also enjoyed sharing what I've learned about Yorkies with new owners, from potty training and grooming to nutrition, health, and understanding their wonderful little personalities.
After more than 30 years, I still love watching each tiny puppy develop its own personality and eventually leave for a loving home.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your Yorkie's journey. I wish you and your Yorkie many joyful years together.

At Yorkies of Bull Mountain, our puppies are more than just puppies waiting for new homes. They're part of our family from the moment they arrive.
Every puppy is born and raised in our home, surrounded by the familiar sights, sounds, and activities of everyday family life. I believe those early experiences help puppies develop confidence, curiosity, and the social skills they'll need as they grow.
One of my greatest joys is watching our mother dogs care for their little ones. Each mother has her own personality and way of raising her babies. As the puppies grow, they begin exploring their surroundings, playing with their littermates, and learning important lessons from their mothers and our other adult Yorkies.
Our puppies receive daily attention, gentle handling, and plenty of affection. I love watching their individual personalities emerge. Some are adventurous little explorers, some are playful troublemakers, and others are happiest curled up in a warm lap.
Good nutrition, cleanliness, careful observation, and appropriate veterinary care are important parts of our daily routine. I take pride in giving each puppy a loving start and preparing them for the transition into their new family.
As a small hobby breeder with more than 30 years of experience, I believe raising puppies is about much more than finding them homes. It's about giving them the best beginning I can and helping their new families feel confident and prepared.
Although we're beginning an exciting new chapter with our move from Oregon to Texas, one thing will never change: our puppies will continue to be raised at home, with love, patience, and personal attention.

Yorkies of Bull Mountain

Yorkies may be small, but their personalities certainly aren't. They are bright, affectionate, curious little dogs who often seem completely unaware of their size.
Every puppy is different. Some are tiny and delicate, while others grow into sturdier Yorkies. I don't believe in promising an exact adult size because puppies can surprise us as they mature. What matters most to me is raising healthy, happy puppies with wonderful temperaments.
Yorkshire Terriers can also be wonderful long-term companions. I've been fortunate to have three of my own Yorkies live to 17 and 18 years old, giving me many wonderful years with them.

Denali came to us from Texas and quickly became a very special part of our Yorkie family. She is a beautiful Biewer Terrier with a loving personality and has proven to be a wonderful, devoted mother.
Her daughter Sugar, from Denali's previous litter, stayed right here with us and has grown into a beautiful young girl. Sugar is a wonderful example of the sturdy, happy little dogs Denali produces.
In September 2026, Denali welcomed her newest litter. Five tiny puppies were born, with four little survivors who are now thriving under their mother's watchful care. We affectionately call them Denali & Jasper's “Jackpot Litter.”
Watching Denali care for these babies reminds me why, after more than 30 years of raising Yorkies, I still find every new litter special. Each one brings its own surprises, personalities and memories.
Denali's first litter produced four beautiful Biewer girls in 2025. Three went to wonderful local homes.
One of those little girls, Lily Mae—now Chardonnay—has been training to become a therapy dog helper. Her mom, Carol, has shared her adventures as she has grown, and it has been especially rewarding for me to watch one of Denali's puppies begin such a special journey.
Seeing the puppies I've raised grow into loved family companions is one of the best parts of being a breeder.

Raven holds a very special place in the history of Yorkies of Bull Mountain. He was our first stud and helped begin a journey that would continue for many years and many generations of beautiful Yorkies.
He was a handsome little fellow with the wonderful personality that made me fall in love with this breed in the first place. Through Raven came puppies, new generations, and many families who discovered the same joy in Yorkies that I had discovered years before.
When I look back at the dogs who helped build my breeding program, Raven will always be one of the special ones. He wasn't simply a stud dog—he was part of our family and part of our story.
Some Yorkies leave more than paw prints. They leave a legacy.
